How to find a print book

Instructions:

  • Go to WorldCat 
  • Enter the title and/or author names using the simple or advanced search 
  • From the search tools filters library option, choose British University in Dubai Library
  • Filter the format as print book
  • You will be directed to the results page where you can see the print books available in the British University 
  • Click on the title and check the availability details

Search EBSCO eBooks

 

IMPORTANT:

  • Use your Blackboard account to login when prompted.
  • Create a My EBSCOhost account 
  • Install Adobe Digital editions to download an eBook. We recommend ensuring you have the most recent version of Digital Editions installed. Download the software here. 

This is a one-time process required to download an eBook offline. Some eBook may have a DRM free access where you can download without signing in with your My EBSCOhost account. 

Instructions on how to download EBSCO eBook from WorldCat

  • Go to WorldCat
  • Enter the ‘Title’
  • Click ‘View eBook’ (below ‘Availability’ and ‘Access Online’)- see below screenshot
  • Login with your blackboard account
  • Download PDF Full text

 

Search Dawsonera eBooks

 

Dawsonera / Dawson eBooks 

These are individually purchased titles from the reading list or that are recommended for reading. Use your Blackboard account to login when prompted to download the eBook.When you download a title from Dawsonera/ Dawson, you'll be presented with the option to download the title to Adobe Reader, Adobe Digital Editions or Bluefire reader. 

      

Knovel eBooks 

This is a collection of Engineering related eBooks for all disciplines including Sustainable Energy and Development, Nanotechnology, Electronics, and other related subjects. It has about 8,000+ eBooks in it's collection.

You can access the collection through WorldCat. Alternatively, you can directly access the database ‘Knovel’ on our database list on and off campus.

Use your Blackboard account to login when prompted to download the eBook.
